Just before leaving my job six years ago, a local arts centre hosted a contest to find and produce a short film.
So I grafted out a script over coffees at dawn and whiskies at midnight – about a young boxer with a life changing secret – and I was lucky enough to be selected as the winner.
This process re-ignited the fire in me which was first lit as a kid at his school-desk, dreaming of being anywhere else.
The writer in me was born.
My latest TV drama pilot, “Conflict”, about an ex-model and mother caught up in South Africa’s blood diamond trade, is currently under consideration with a production company.
And I am also working on two rom-com feature films set in Wales, both aimed at a more mature (and perhaps more macho) audience than the average rom-com.
Having also appeared in my first short, I began writing material that resonated with me both as an actor and a writer, with an aim to appearing in all future productions.

Every script I write comes from my own heart and my own history.
Thriller, drama, comedy & romance, all from the perspective of modern men and women as they navigate through the universal mine-fields of family, society, work and love… often whilst dipping a toe into either crime or combat sports.
I like to think my stories have enough heart, enough guts and enough brains to entertain and inspire a broad spectrum of today’s content-hungry audience.

Some of the acting roles I took to pay the bills – and to keep myself in the film industry – whilst building the screenwriting career.
